YOUR INFORMATION

Email updates & privacy.

How this website handles subscriber information.

What is collected

When you request email updates, the website stores your email address, your first and last names, address, postal code, phone number, and neighbourhood if you provide them, your signup date, and your selected email topics, and a record of your consent. New subscriptions are active immediately; no confirmation email is required.

How it is used

Subscriber information is used to send Marg’s council and community updates, maintain communication preferences, and organise constituent contact records. Providing an address or phone number does not sign you up for telephone, text, or postal communications. Editors may add internal organisational tags to narrow an audience; these tags do not override the email topics you choose. Each update includes an unsubscribe link. A minimal suppression record is retained so an unsubscribed address is not accidentally added again through an import.

Storage and access

Records are stored through Netlify. Authorised editors can manage the subscriber list; site administrators can administer the hosting and storage. The email delivery provider, when connected, processes addresses to deliver messages and handle bounces. Subscriber lists are not published on this website.

Messages to Marg

The contact form stores your name, email address, subject, message, and submission date in the private website inbox on Netlify. Authorised editors can read and manage messages. If email notifications are connected, the message is also sent to Marg’s contact mailbox. Messages only add you to updates if you tick the separate optional subscription box; your choice and submission date are recorded.

Your preferences

To ask about your information, request its deletion, or stop receiving updates, email Email Marg. Uploaded subscriber lists must include permission records and existing unsubscribe preferences.
